Who is USKH?

Our Board of Directors says that we are a full service, multi-disciplined design and consulting firm.  They are right (they usually are) but who we are is so much more than just our professions.  You can peg us as architects, engineers (all types of engineers – civil, transportation, structural, mechanical, and electrical), land surveyors, planners, or environmental folks, but that doesn’t even begin to define us. 

We are friends. We work with our hands. We like to run. We are artists and musicians. We like to laugh together, dream together. We garden. We are mothers. We are fathers. We are sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters.  We fly planes. Some of us like fast cars. Some of us ride our bikes to work.  We are passionate about good design. We ski. Or snowboard. Or ice skate. We like to give back as much as we get.  We do yoga.  We play softball.  Some of us are gourmet chefs.  Some of us always burn the chocolate chip cookies.  We feel a responsibility to live as well as we can.  We love dogs.  And cats.  We grow together.  We play ping-pong.  We play scrabble.  We play Madden. We play the piano. And the guitar. (Okay, we like to play).  Some of us are morning people. Some of us hit snooze six times every morning.  We like work that improves our community. We vote. We fish (a lot). We climb mountains. We like to curl up with a good book. We drink too much coffee. Or maybe not enough. We are building a future together.
