Ambitious, quality conscience, teamwork oriented engineer needed. Position offers the opportunity to either be a lead production design engineer or to advance to supervisory or project management positions.  Civil engineering experience in areas of aviation, transportation, utility systems, site development, and/or water resources is needed or can be developed in this position. USKH is an established multidisciplinary firm, which has immediate opportunities to advance as far as you are interested.

Core competencies include completing site investigations and feasibility studies, preparation of reports and design analysis, and bid document completion for civil projects.  Working in teams including other disciplines and design professionals is required to develop projects from initial concepts to design completion and sometimes through construction. Project management, supervisory, client contact, and marketing skills are a plus for advanced positions.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a B. S. degree in civil engineering, professional registration in Alaska or Washington (or the ability to obtain registration in the state of employment within 6 months) and a minimum of 7 years design experience. Position requires a thorough understanding of the design process and a familiarity with applicable codes and design criteria. Must be computer software literate in the areas of general office software (Word, Excel, etc.), AutoCAD and LDD or Civil 3D. Good oral and written communication, teamwork and organizational skills are required.
