Job Description

Performs a variety of routine tasks, which are intended to provide experience and interaction with other staff, methods, practices, programs, and the culture of the organization. Prepares, or assists in the preparation of: civil engineering documents, details, schedules, or reports as assigned. Performs fundamental civil engineering assignments and works from designs of others, compiles data, performs fundamental design computations, prepares engineering plans, and assists with civil airport projects. Each person is expected to help out with whatever duties are required to deliver a quality project on schedule; while developing knowledge and proficiency in the use of basic drafting tools and aids; developing knowledge and proficiency in firm’s drafting standards, both mechanical and computer; assisting in the production of drawings, graphs, charts, exhibits, and other project documents; developing knowledge and proficiency in the types of resources available (reference materials, government agencies, utility companies, in-house records, etc.;) and developing knowledge and proficiency in the use of CAD equipment and procedures.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in an accredited civil engineering program. Computer experience to include AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Preferably has experience working in engineering consulting.
