Like many USKHers, Tim didn’t know that he wanted to be an engineer, but he did know that he liked solving problems. His aptitude for science and math, as well as the enjoyment he gained by achieving solutions through breaking problems into easy to understand tasks, drew him towards engineering.

As president of USKH, there are still plenty of problems to be solved, but instead of using science he focuses on understanding people. “I’m continually amazed but the creativity and talent each person brings to our company when they walk in the door,” says Tim. “The people we work with and the positive changes we make in our communities inspire me on a daily basis.”

Tim focuses on delivering value every day and making a positive difference at USKH. He believes that taking initiative, even in small ways, shows ownership in the company, and that personal accountability comes from within.

I love: The opportunity to solve unique opportunities and challenges, whether they’re related to a project, a management decision, or helping an employee or a team to be successful.

Inspiration: I’m inspired by the people I get to work and interact with; the passion they bring to their work is contagious!

Thoughts on USKH: Our flexibility and willingness to let our employees try new and different things are what make USKH a special place to me.

When I’m not working: Spending time with my family, traveling, and reading are my favorite non work-related activities.
